Gogo genting!
I'm going genting tonight! Finally a trip with friends on my own, not with any schools or organization. I think I'm quite loser cause I'm the only one who haven't been to genting before. Don't think I will risk taking all those thrilling rides in case my lungs explode like how people like to put it. I hope the weather isn't too cold cause I'm having a little bit of flu and sorethroat right now. 6 hours bus ride here I go! (I've been through 10 hours of coach ride to cameron highlands, this should be nothing. I hope.)
Totally wasted 3 hours of my time yesterday to go to Tekong to do this inury form (which I have already done!). "I think they made a mistake, you need not be here." -_-" Bump into Wenbin and Zhen Sheng on the ferry back and exchanged contacts with Zhen Sheng from 4B. Then went to eat at Dunman food centre with Carol. The rojak was nice and the wanton mee was special. Tabaoed back home and also durian puffs. Spent quite a bit on food yesterday.
I completed Nodame Cantabile last night at around 3am. Its a really good drama you can catch on crunchyroll.com. Don't miss it if you're a music lover or a music student cause I think you get pretty inspired about music through watching it. Music, with no strings attached is amazingly beautiful.
Tz managed to get me FFVIII piano collections and I'm so in love with
Find Your Way. I practiced a little today and I'm going to work on it when I come back. Though I'm really bad at all those piano techniques and fingering stuff, I'm going to try hard on this. I feel so inspired! =)
I really shall shift to livejournal soon, but I'm just feeling so laid back and lazy to do anything.
music for life, be it alone or in an ensemble..

Behind Bars.
Had a lot of things done yesterday. Going genting with DJL. We were just talking about it and very randomly we really went down to beachroad yesterday and booked our genting trip on 20th-22nd. This has been my second most unprepared trip (first one was the last minute decision to play for Marist in WMC) and I hope everything won't gabra. After that we went to some ulu place near PS to eat from a Japanese ramen store recommended by Dean. The stock was eggy and nice and the noodles were very refreshing.
Met up with Mok and Neem for Philwinds concert after that. The concert was certainly a memorable one for me. Philwinds always have such fantastic repertoire. I enjoyed Masque and definitely Kevin Bobo's playing. The Japanese piece was also very interesting and pretty melodic to the ears. Bobo was really awesome with his well controlled strokes and his touch was so heavenly. It was world class performance and I enjoyed his compositions and his snare drum playing. He did some beat boxing thing on the snare and most importantly he played Bolero and whistled to it! It always inspire to play after listening to good music and seeing how people improve. Sadly for me, think it will be a while before I return to playing and even so, probably won't be able to play like before. Just glad that I'm still able to appreciate music.
After concert got a call from Dean saying that they wanna go clubbing. So went went to Zouk/Phuture after my concert. The music wasn't so good at first but it picks up after that. The ratio of guys to girls was like 9:1. -_-" It was quite fun but felt a little weird without Lauren around. Haha.
Alrights. Book in time 1645 and booking out tomorrow 2000. Can't wait to go Genting and K-box and imagine all the bridge I can do when I meeet up with the guys! =]
I shall move over to livejournal once I have time to explore it.
Kept sneezing..

Tadaima!
Well I'm home again after 3 days and 2 nights at tekong! We booked out at 0945 today and will be booking in on Sunday at 1645 and booking out again on Monday 2000 after their POC. 46 out of 47 from my platoon will be POC-ing. The 1 loser is me la. Will be downgrading to PES E for 6 months but that will take some time to process. So in the mean time I am OOC-ed and will be scheduled for a "recourse".
Though its quite silly for me to go in for these few days and I might as well extend my mc, I just wanted to go back to clear up. Like to fill up the injury report for hospital claims and to pack all my stuff. I squeezed my CV bag, field pack, helmet, LBV (or L-something-V), 3 sets of no. 4 and all the whatever stuff I'm suppose to bring home in the duffer (?) bag. Anyway, its been great meeting up my section mates who are really entertaining, amusing and vulgar.
I went back and everything was pretty messed up. My whole cupboard was like ransacked and I found out later on that they were using my locker to store food they secretly bring in (that is before they were allowed to bring in their own food). They simply lock everything side and during stand by bed or area they will just say they don't have my combination. I had to use a new lock when I went back cause EVERYONE in the platoon knows my combi 23-0-23 as they keep going over to steal food. Haha. They shifted everything to locker 13 which was empty instead. My 2 towels were used to clean fans and whatever people don't have, locker no. 12 sereved as the "location of the spare stuff" aka Caleb's left behinds.
Everyone in my section was freaking nice to me. I think I can remember all of them by now.
Bed 1 - Jeremy
Bed 2 - Ivan
Bed 3 - Zach(ary)
Bed 4 - Zhen Wei
Bed 5 - Kai Quan
Bed 6 - Jianqiang
Bed 7 - Christian
Bed 8 - Jeramiah
Bed 9 - Wei Jie
Bed 10 - Mud-Nor
Bed 11 - Charles (Buddy)
Bed 12 - Mine
Bed 13 - Empty (we were told a ghost lives there so that we won't use it)
I missed out on a lot of fun but going back for around 2 days was quite nice too. Basically everything starts, ends or have a
f*ck somewhere. Its like a connector in the everyday speech there. But everyone don't really mean it that way, its more of a way to get attention. Even the password to our bunk, when translated means something like so-and-so is a vagina. All my section mates, and some other platoon mates were very very very helpful and friendly. I think I became famous in a sense that everyone sort of knew what happened to me. Some even came to me and said something like "Hey, Caleb right? Thank your aunt man! Cause of her we have a much better life here already." Yet I don't really think her e-mail cause much of an uproar. Either way, being in PES C already shaved a hell lot off our trainin. Less than 30 people in the whole company went for road march and only 1 from my section threw a grenade. Its quite sad that most of us who want to experience the real army life are not allowed to participate cause of some health conditions. To me it is a sad thing to not have a POP, enjoy suffering in field camp, hold a rifle, fire real rounds, throw a grenade. But since God gave me this body, I shall accept it.
I reached home by car in 5 minutes from the interchange. Aunt fetched my home and upon reaching, I removed all the stuff in my superly heavy bag. I'm really proud of myself for squeezing everything inside. We showered and went off to Ampang at Katong. Its been ages since I went there for
niang tofu and I seriously miss the interesting tasting drink there. After that we went to CMC! I love the custard puffs from Chin Me Chin! Too bad the sugar rolls will only be done at 3pm. The standard of the stuff there is still there but its more due to high demand, the price of everythign increased. Picked Mara after that and I'm now back home!
I'm so glad I can attend tomorrow's P.winds concert. There is going to be this marimba concerto that I so badly want to hear by Kevin Bobo. It also means I can catch the repeat telecast of Campus Superstar which I missed and watch Shawn perform. And it also means I can FINALLY try out the Japanese lamian at town which is closed on Sundays (days when I crave for lamian). Book out day rocks!
My first book out and I'm in love with it already.
Wa nang si Viper.. ho li tou!

Army II
Going back tomorrow to Tekong (finally). Its been a very long time since the last time I was there. Have had a lot of fun past few days and I think its time to get back into reality.
Think it will feel quite weird for me and hopefully I won't feel too extra for I missed too many stuff. Hopefully can get a medical review again cause I think I'm not physically ready yet.
Must reach the ferry terminal at 7.30am tomorrow, so gotta sleep early. Take care everyone and I'm ready to go back to military life.
Goodbye (again) civillian life
Thanks for the good days.

Crunchyroll fever!
ZOMG! (As Cuiyin likes to put it) I think I'm super duper addicted to crunchyroll now. Its like I'm feeling so
qtzified!
In case you are wondering..
q-tzi-fy

1. to be highly enthusiastic over a particular something, especially Japanese dramas filled with Erika Toda.
2. to behave like Qtz.
—Related forms

q-tze-fi-er, noun
Note: Only 1 Qtzefier exist and is irreplaceble. One can only attempt to be like, but never be like.

Hair, I miss you so!
I was just looking at my video someone posted in this jap blog with a lot of people getting their heads shaved. Haha. I can't read jap and don't have the language package.
http://blog.livedoor.jp/danpatsu_movie/?blog_id=2371072This is so amusing! Haha.
Having no hair to style is a sad thing man.

Settlers cafe - 6 of us.
So anyway. 2days ago on a Saturday, I met with the guys! Finally man. Before that my family and sis' bf went to dine at Balithai. Thai food in Thailand was definitely way better la. So after that met up with Stan and Leon and we waited for Cheng who was (as always) late. After that met up at my place and we bridged! My mind wasn't as
ming rui as last time man. Its been ages! It was really fun meeting up with them again but the conversation always goes back to army. Its like 5-6 days of meeting with your bunk mates and army-ing is not enough, even the rest day revolves around army and meeting of bunk mates (for some).
After they left for Yas' house I went over to Lao Pa Sat to meet the usual gang. I met them later so didn't get a chance to eat with them.

After I came and we took a group shot, as if I went too..

.jpg)
As you can see, there is 6 of us. Fung had some stomach problems and didn't come (such a pity!) and Lauren was still at work.

That's the journal I made for the 8 of us to record our outings and for rotation purposes. As you can see, an A is missing! I only realised that like yesterday man. Sorry for the spelling mistake!

And there is a very hard working me trying to decorate the puzzle we bought for our special guest of the day.

And obviously, you can tell why I'm not like majoring in art or design from the plain looking puzzle. BUT! Its nice too right? Haha.

Around 8pm we started walking to settlers due to encouragement from a certain pineapple that it was walkable and very near (and that she walked there before).

Unfortunately, we got lost and had to look at the map.

We finally arrived and shortly after that, the birthday girl / special guest arrived! Casey Amanda Lloyd! Ah lloyd! This blur girl spent ages fixing the puzzle ok.

It was a great day filled with a lot of actions and self-high games. It ended with this classic shot. =)
Yesterday was great too! I went shopping and got like sneakers and slippers and ate a lot a lot! And thanks Dean (who just got his pay) for treating me to pepper lunch. Whoosh. I love food.
And yes, sometimes aunties get on my nerves. So narrow-minded.
P.S. I have a new blog at livejournal. Check out laevo.
Can't wait for a normal life.

Just wanna blog!
Its been a while and I've been going out these past few days and I felt like I finally have a little life. Feeling way better now but muscles on the right still ache after sleeping on it for a while or moving too much. But its getting better and I think my body is finally adapting to the scars which are formed inside.
Today was a goooooooood day! A wonderful person brought me to dine at Megumi at Siglap. Its a fantasticabulous Jap restaurant. Simply the best Jap food I've eaten in Singapore. Its a little pricey but its damn worth it! Sukiyaki totally rocks my socks and the sashimi was sugoi! A big thank you for Caroline for the treat. For 40+ per person, its worth it! After that we caught spiderman at TM with nachos and cheese. I really think its a nice film to catch and you get to learn some life-skills here and there. It was a good day.
The day before yesterday Louis and Dean came over my place to watch Dvds where some big L slept before the first show was over. Then that night we went chomp chomp for dinner with Justin and went over Dean's place to sleep cause it was too late to go home by bus.
That night was also TJ's Prelude. The concert was great and Hymn was definitely lovely, beautiful and touching. The singing was heavenly and your hair just stands as the music flow from there. Stage band was impressive considering that they had so little time to piece everything together. Like always, the alumni band rocked and the whole concert was just a great live experience. Cukoo Tz mistook T-shirt as shirt and we were head-ushers. Oh ya, and the VCH person in charge or circles seats was nasty and kaypoh-ish. He made us, Ed and Mj stick tape around the wire cause people might trip over it in the dark. Um...
That's about what happened. Looking forward to spending some quiet time at home now that I have so much fun these past few days playing cards, spending time with people and just enjoying myself. I still can't wait for bridge on Friday with the guys cause its been like 9 weeks since we bridge? Haven't seen Cheng is like foreverness.
Shall video later.
Beef was best.
=)
Carefree. Doesn't really matter.

The "Outing"
Went for my check-up today. It was a lot a lot a lot a lot of waiting time and when I finally had my consultation it was like 5.30pm, more than an hour behind time. I waited so long just for 10 minutes of consultation. Everything is healing well and I got 3 more weeks of mc and 1 year of excuse from mandatory physical activities. Its good and bad at the same time. I get to slack at home but I know I will end up extremely bored. Many people probably think its good that I get such a long mc but they don't really understand the situation and feelings I'm feeling right now. Oh well, at least now I have a lot of books to read and things to do at home.
After that I went to remove my stitches. All 7.5 of them. 0.5 was for the one dad cut off half way. The feeling of removing that one was quite shiok cause it was like stuck in the flesh and the nurse had to pull kinda hard. It came off with some dried skin and goodness know what stuff on it. Ouch. I'm just so glad the stitches are removed. No more abrasion or cuts due to the rough stitches!
I went out today after check-up. Come on man, I need some outside air! Bought a wallet and another book. I found out that Dave's brother has his own biography too! So right now I'm hunting for it. Must find the first book, not just the sequel.
I so want to get out, but I can't cause people might just come knocking on the door looking for recruit Teo. Sucks.
Life is just so complicated.
